Iridology Certification Courses
What is IIPA Certified?
IIPA stands for International Iridology Practitioners Association.
Because there are no official standards of practice for Iridologists, two different Iridologists may have widely differing levels of expertise. There are also great discrepancies in the quality of available courses, especially in North America. Certification by IIPA identifies you as having attained the highest level of education now available in the field and sets you at a recognized professional level. Clients are then reassured that you have received an excellent education and have met IIPA's certification requirements.
Ean, Georgina, and Kianna are IIPA certified instructors.
The Iridology Correspondence Certification course is a complete iridology training course for those wishing to take an Iridology Course via correspondence. Click here for more information on becoming certified via correspondence.

IIPA Course Descriptions
1. Comprehensive Iridology - Level I (includes Iridology Workbook, Iridology Handbook and Certified Iridology Chart). This material covers the history and development of Iridology, discussion of models- European Iridology, American Iridology, Comprehensive IridologyTM, psychological patterns, iris photography, etc. Includes eye anatomy and physiology, topography and mapping of the iris, constitutional types (Lymphatic, Biliary and Hematogenic) and their subtypes (by color), iris structure (by types) and signs, pigmentation, lacunae, pupil tonus, etc.(Minimum of 14 hours with an IIPA certified instructor). It would be helpful to have some anatomy and physiology background before taking this course but we have found that it is not necessary and that it is not a requirement.
2. Comprehensive Iridology Class - Level II
This class places emphasis on combinations of signs, structure and pigmentdetails, contraction furrow signs, pupil tonus in detail, Lacuna types, exceptions to rules, specific constitutions and syndromes, basic sclerasigns, further psychological pattern information, research issues, analysis and live practice for practicum preparation, etc. (Minimum of 21 hours with an IIPA-certified instructor).
4 Steps To Becoming an IIPA Certified Iridologist
1) Attend the Level I and II Certification Course
The in classroom iridology course consists of 5 days of life changing information on the eyes for your own personal journey or to continue to become a Certified Comprehensive Iridologist (CCI).
At the time of the course you will need to determine from two options what your professional membership level will be with IIPA: Associate Membership or Certified Membership. The Associate Membership ($49 USD per year) is primarily for those who are interested in Iridology or students of Iridology, but have not yet completed all the required to become an Iridologist. The Certified Membership ($99 USD per year) is primarily for those who have completed the requirements and have become an IIPA Certified Iridologist. It makes the most sense as a student to pay for the Associate Membership...the $49 must be paid at the time of the Level I and II class to IIPA.
You may also attain these hours by taking The Iridology Training Correspondence Course which contains all of the material and information that the live 5 day class consists of.
2) Complete the Anatomy and Physiology Course
An anatomy and physiology course is required to be certified as an IIPA Certified Iridologist. However, the Level I and II Iridology courses as well as IIPA's complete testing procedure can take place before an anatomy and physiology class is completed. We have found that it doesn't have to be taken before the course. After you have completed the anatomy and physiology requirement, the certification candidate must submit a transcript of a completed course, a copy of a diploma or of an acceptable accredited degree, or a copy of an appropriate professional license before receiving the IIPA Certification Certificate. Course work should be college-level and designed to provide a deeper understanding of human anatomy (structure) and physiology (function).
Option No. 1: students may take this course from a university, community college, acupuncture school, massage school, etc. Minimum requirement is 60 hours of actual study.
Option No. 2: if a local school is not available, We accept Anatomy & Physiology distance learning from several distance schools. If you have any questions about the anatomy and physiology requirement or about courses you are considering, please contact either Ean, Kianna, or Georgina to see if your course meets the IIPA requirement.IIPA approved Anatomy and Physiology Correspondence Courses are listed at the bottom of this page.
3) Complete the 10 Iris Evaluations
In class, you will learn how to complete an iris evaluation on someone. Part of the requirement to become a Certified Iridologist is that you complete 10 iris evaluations and give them back to your instructor for review and marking. These can be completed during the course or you can mail them back to your instructor in a reasonable amount of time (discuss this with your instructor).
4) Complete the Case Study Analysis and Write the Final Exam
Exam Fee: $175 USD to be paid directly to your Instructor.
Your Instructor will send you a color picture of a set of eyes and a brief health history of that individual for you to complete a detailed Iridology analysis. Upon completion you will send it back to your instructor for marking. The Case Study will be sent only after the $175 USD has been paid.
You will then be ready for the final Written Proctored Exam! The exam will be mailed to a Proctor (Notary Public for example) and you will arrange a time to write the exam based on your schedules. The proctor will mail the exam back to your Instructor for grading. You will be notified as to the results of the exam by email.
***Upon the sucessful completion of the IIPA certification courses, the 10 iris evaluations, the case study analysis, and the IIPA proctored Exam, and submission of A & P requirement, the student will qualify to become certified by the International Iridology Practitioners Association (I.I.P.A.)
