Mission Statement
The International Iridology Practitioners Association was founded for the purpose of increasing and diffusing knowledge concerning the art and science of Iridology and to provide a forum for the exchange of information and research with the goal of promoting excellence in international Iridology standards.
Overview
One of IIPA's most important functions is certifying professional Iridologists and Iridology teachers. Our certification program is designed to ensure the highest standards of Iridology education and practice.
Educating the public and other health care professionals about Iridology and other eye sciences is another task IIPA is fulfilling. This challenge is being addressed through their new Public Relations department. You will find Iridology and other eye sciences in the news more and more as a result of these efforts.

IIPA Course FAQ
Why should I become IIPA-Certified?
Because Iridology has no official standards of practice, anyone can call themselves an Iridologist, often with little training or experience. Certification by IIPA identifies you as having attained the highest level of education in the field and sets you apart. Clients will choose you because they know that you have received an excellent education and have met these certification requirements.

Emotional Blueprint Iridology is a noninvasive means of analyzing one's health tendencies, as well as one's personality and soul/spirit, which is explained in Emotional Blueprint Iridology.
Emotional Blueprint Iridology is an evolution, or step beyond the physical body. It is a means of analyzing the emotions behind the creation of health problems, as well as identifying one’s personality from the iris. The pupil reflects the soul of the person, and the pupil tells us what the soul wants to communicate.
What do the eyes reveal?
Eyes really are the windows to the soul… and more. They reveal what kind of health challenges we are genetically predisposed to, what types of lifestyle challenges we may have, the kind of foods that could cause us difficulty, and they can indicate things that may disrupt or influence our ability to digest food efficiently or eliminate properly, whether it be through the colon, or the skin or the kidneys. Many indications for possible health challenges can be seen.
The parts of the eye that can be analyzed are:
The study of the Iris - Iridology
The study of the Sclera, or white of the eye - Sclerology
The study of the Pupil Tonus, analysis of the pupillary border, which can be an indicator for spinal subluxations.
Emotional Blueprint Iridology uses both the iris and the pupil to reveal the emotions that can be blocked within the body, or that could be causing actual health problems. In Emotional Blueprint Iridology, the iris has within it, the emotions involved in the physical body, the ages when emotions have created health problems, which chakras are involved, which areas of ones health may be affected and how.
The Pupil Border in Emotional Blueprint Iridology shows the spine and how the vertebrae may be affected. Depending on the shape of the pupil, it will show what health tendencies there are. The center of the Pupil acts as a crystal ball, reflecting images, or a communication of the soul of the person being looked at. It is a very personal and deep experience, and the person being looked at always has complete control over what their pupils will allow to be seen.
It is an honour and a privilege to be allowed to look deeply into someone’s eyes, and respect for the client, in all aspects, is a must. Always be sure that the person performing an analysis for you is a certified Iridologist by an accrediting body, maintains membership in a regulatory association with a code of conduct, and has had adequate levels of training in the natural health field as well as in anatomy and physiology.

In Europe, especially in Germany, Iridology is well recognized and routinely used by natural medicine practitioners. It is also recognized in the Phillipines as an approved assessment tool. Iridology operates in more of a gray area in North America. In general, there are no laws defining or regulating the practice. It is important to use Iridology in a well-educated and appropriate manner. Using Iridology improperly (by naming disease states, diagnosing diseases, etc.) is inappropriate because it is not correctly applying the information provided by the iris. Improper use could also be construed as practicing medicine without a license in many countries.
The International Iridology Practitioners Association is a vehicle through which all people who are searching for a modern, research-based education in Iridology can meet or exceed their goals. Practitioners can learn about the latest findings from around the world and share information with each other. IIPA is a certifying body that can work with teachers and schools to make certain that their educational standards for Iridology are high.
What is Iridology?
Iridology is the study of the iris of the eye. Iridology has been practiced since the 1800’s. Hungarian Dr. Ignatz Von Peczley was the first Iridologist to have made a chart, or “map” of the iris, illustrating how it corresponds to the physical body. Since then, Iridology has been researched, studied and thoroughly documented throughout the European Countries and Russia. A majority of Iridology research was performed in Germany, where Iridology is used by physicians as a means of identifying genetic health tendencies and current states of the body systems by examining the nerve reflexes in the iris.
Iridology identifies inherited predispositions that negatively or positively can affect one's health, as the iris shows which systems of the body are the least and which are the most resilient. During iris analysis, a certified practitioner can help you to identify which areas of the body cannot withstand a lot of abuse and which areas are stronger, because truly, we do not have to “get” inherited health problems, from our parents. Once these potentially weak areas have been identified, we can make health & lifestyle changes to improve their functioning. At the same time, we can identify our strongest functioning parts of the body, those that we can depend upon to carry us through periods of stress, keeping the body in harmony and balanced functioning. Many people wonder about the stories they hear of an old uncle who has drunk alcohol and/or smoked cigarettes well into his 90’s seeming to never have his health affected by the “abuse." Well, when looking into an iris of such an individual, what one would likely see is a very strong looking area of the iris that corresponds to the lungs and the liver. Although we may also see less resilient areas of the thyroid or the digestive system, these weaker areas would not necessarily be affected by the particular abuse of alcohol & cigarettes. So what we identify in the iris can actually allow one to create a lifestyle to protect against health problems to which one is genetically predisposed. We also need to take into consideration a person's lifestyle, age and belief system. It has been said many times… "What we think, we become." A person's mental attitude also has a great deal to do with what actually does manifest in the body, in accordance to what we are genetically predisposed to.
